"As a tourist from Czech Republic Castellammare del Golfo was incredibly beautiful place for me to vistit - the rich culture, incredibly kind people and beautiful nature just amazed me. Overall I would definitely visit Castellammare del Golfo again and I would recommend it to anybody for visit. Maybe as natives you don't even see how unique and precious your town is. It's architecture and landmarks are VERY special. The only things I found not very nice were a very high pollution on the sides of the roads and absence of sidewalks on some of the roads and how hard it was to get around by any other way than just a car. Especially the pollution was much higher than in other places I've been to in the Mediterranean like Croatia or Monopoli in Italy, so I just want to share this perspective of a visitor. Also it was heartbreaking to see that many stray cats, I wish there was an organization that would sterilize the animals to reduce their population."

"The beach area at Case Maje is excellent. The rest of the beach and the walking path above it are a disgrace. Neglected and polluted. A shame for the city."

"We loved our time in Castlelammaredelgolfo in September 2024. Our accommodation met our expectations and was located between the town centre and the marina. There are a great variety of bars and restaurants to choose from but not enough grocery type stores in the centre. Parking was a nightmare and we just don’t understand the need to the parking restrictions which start from 12pm on a Friday. That didn’t seem to make any sense at all.
We loved the fact that guests can hire good quality power boats to visit the coastline. This is a big attraction.
We felt the town was a bit dirty with rubbish and rubbish canisters everywhere and with too many half built/derelict buildings. The town is what we would call ‘work in progress’ and has the potential to become a VERY special place.
We would like to return someday. "

"The only problem with cities is the lack of self-service trash cans for sorting... a lot of waste litters the ground, the road ditches, it's really a shame your island is so beautiful and your inhabitants are so kind!"
