"A beautiful city and surrounding areas up the coast. Good food and nice local people. Castellammare de golfo is probably one of the cleanest cities we visited on our 18 day tour of the island and it is the only city that felt like a place we could call home. My wife and I live between Sweden and California and we are in the process of looking for a home in Italy. We both feel Castellammare del Golfo is a special place with a bright future. Let us know if you would like us to be part of a focus group to help make Castellammare de Golfo an even better place. We can certainly help you to attract more Americans and Scandinavians. One simple suggestion would be to have more recycling and trash bins around the city.

"I like the City, the Restaurant and the offers to explore the sea. But I felt some irritation when I spotted a dead dog lying in the middle of the town with houndreds if flies around."

"I had laid out a comprehensive plan to search for a house or apartment in Sicily. Our first stop was Castellammare del Golfo. My wife looked around and declared, "That's it, I don't want to look anywhere else, we're finding a house here". So, we are soon closing on an apartment here. We absolutely love it here."
