"It would be nice to be better provided by bus schedule, costs, where to buy tickets and when. More buses from and to Palermo would be appreciated or taxis less expensive. 60 Euros is too much for 26km. "

"The town is very nice and interesting and we particularly enjoyed the museum and the harbour areas, as well as the many places to eat a meal or buy food.
The people we met were very friendly and helpful and are a credit to the town.
Sadly some parts of the outer town have a lot of rubbish by the side of the road and in the grassy areas which does not look so good. A little more pride in the town appearance could really boost its attraction to visitors. "

"Castellammare del Golfo è un posto bellissimo, ma l'unica grande pecca è la pulizia. Siamo scesi da piazza Petrolo alla spiaggia sottostante: un luogo che potrebbe essere il vero fiore all'occhiello della città, e invece abbiamo trovato degrado, incuria e spazzatura. I rifiuti e la trascuratezza erano evidenti sia lungo la scalinata, sia sulla passeggiata che conduce al mare. Cosa ancora più grave, anche la spiaggia stessa è completamente lasciata a se stessa e piena di rifiuti. Un vero peccato per una località così splendida."

"Hello. I really liked the pizza restaurant Gusto, but otherwise, the town was not for me.
I would recommend that all hosts communicate about the tourist tax IN ADVANCE as opposed to meeting a non-native speaker her first night in the country and asking for a cash payment and to see her passport so you can take pictures. This did not feel very safe or welcoming to me.
Also, I didn't take any transportation while in the area. I had a rental car. "
