"We loved our time in Castlelammaredelgolfo in September 2024. Our accommodation met our expectations and was located between the town centre and the marina. There are a great variety of bars and restaurants to choose from but not enough grocery type stores in the centre. Parking was a nightmare and we just don’t understand the need to the parking restrictions which start from 12pm on a Friday. That didn’t seem to make any sense at all.
We loved the fact that guests can hire good quality power boats to visit the coastline. This is a big attraction.
We felt the town was a bit dirty with rubbish and rubbish canisters everywhere and with too many half built/derelict buildings. The town is what we would call ‘work in progress’ and has the potential to become a VERY special place.
We would like to return someday. "

"The only problem with cities is the lack of self-service trash cans for sorting... a lot of waste litters the ground, the road ditches, it's really a shame your island is so beautiful and your inhabitants are so kind!"

"La riserva dello zingaro è da 10 compreso Scopello, la cittadina molto meno principalmente per la mancanza di pulizia soprattutto la spiaggia sotto le mura è un peccato "

"La mancanza di trasporti da/per gli aeroporti è una grande mancanza. Così come anche la mancanza di frequenti collegamenti con i molteplici luoghi di interesse. Un vero peccato. "
